Private Albert R. Hardy Albert R. Hardy, a Private of Captain O. A. Samson's Co. "A" of the 3rd Regiment of Ohio Foot Volunteers, discharged with Surgeon's Certificate of Disability per an order by the War Department stating he enlisted as a minor, without the permission of his parents (first one of these I have seen) , 1st January 1862, Certificate and Form No. 5 included, signed by Hardy. Repairs have been made with modern archival tape for easier handling. I have carefully reinforced tears and folds for some of these with archival repair tape, for handling purposes. Most of the writing is clear. None of these have been researched. Own a piece of Civil War history. Let me know if you have any questions.
